St Albans City & District Core Strategy to be Delayed

Finalising St Albans District’s planning core strategy – an important set of planning policies and development proposals for the period up to 2028 – is to be delayed to fit around central Government decisions.

Following  legal advice, St Albans City and District Council’s Cabinet approved an amended timetable which means that the Council will not issue its planning core strategy until the Government has finalised the National Planning Policy Framework and revoked the East of England plan (with its centrally set housing targets).

See statement from SADC, District’s planning core strategy decisions affected by central government timetable, for more details.
