Flower Beds, Oakwood Road Shops: Update September 2012

Work on the building of two new flower beds on the footprint of the original beds on the block paved area in the front of the shops in Oakwood Road is now underway.

It was planned to inspect the Village signpost, situated in the remaining but damaged flower bed during this work.  This inspection has revealed the signpost to be unsound.  Being potentially dangerous, arrangements were made for the post to be removed immediately to prevent the possibility of an accident.  Consideration will be given to a replacement Village sign in due course.
