Flower Beds and Village Sign outside Oakwood Road Shops

Some little while ago, the roses were removed from the the flower bed beneath our Village sign in Oakwood Road in preparation for its removal by Hertfordshire Highways. However, It is likely that it will not now be removed and until such time as its future is decided, Steve Brooks and Rosemary Love have been given permission, on request, to plant out the bed which has now been done.  Steve and Rosemary are to be congratulated on a splendid effort, which has brightened up the area no end and shows a true community spirit.

Consideration is now being given to the long term situation, not only for this bed but also to a replacement for the other bed, which was damaged beyond repair and therefore removed completely.
