County Consultation on Library Services: 21 October to 31 December 2013

Post date: Nov 8, 2013 9:19:21 PM

The consultation seeks the views of Hertfordshire residents on their priorities for the library service over the next 10 years. The results will inform the development of a new strategy, which will set the future direction of the service, and determine how we address the social, technological and financial challenges of a changing world.

The engagement exercise will include questionnaires in libraries and online, public meetings, drop-in sessions in each library, focus groups, and consultation with partners and stakeholders. I attach a discussion document, a copy of the questionnaire and posters promoting the consultation. I should be grateful if you could use these to promote the consultation among your clients and colleagues.

Further information is available on the Hertfordshire County Council website, including the online questionnaire. I would encourage use of the online questionnaire where possible, but paper copies are readily available in all Hertfordshire Libraries. We can provide additional assistance for anyone who finds it difficult to access the questionnaire (please telephone 0300 123 4049).

Yours sincerely
