Building Research Establishment and the Core Strategy: September 2011 Update

The petition against the reintroduction of the proposal for 150 houses at BRE into the pre-submission document of the St Albans City and District Council’s Core Strategy was presented to the Mayor at a meeting of the full Council held on 20th September 2011.

Some debate followed the presentation and a number of Councillors declared support for the petition. The motion that the proposal be discussed as a separate issue at the next meeting of the Planning Policy Advisory Panel (PPAP), which is scheduled for 6 October at the Civic Centre, was agreed unanimously.
