Rail Freight Interchange, Park Street: 13 March 2015 St Albans Council High Court Challenge Dismissed

St Albans City and District Council has been informed that its recent High Court challenge on the Rail Freight interchange planning matter has been dismissed.  The Council had challenged the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government’s decision to grant planning permission for a strategic rail freight interchange in Park Street.

The Council has been ordered to pay the Secretary of State’s costs of £13,269.  Further costs are currently being assessed.
