Bricket Wood Common Controlled Burning: Tuesday 10 May 2011

Post date: May 6, 2011 8:26:21 PM

Dear All

Just to let you know that due to the dry weather and the heightened risk of fire, we have decided to burn the brash earlier than usual. There will be a contractor at the Hornbeam Coppice area at Bricket Wood Common on Tuesday 10th May to burn the brash/ branches that have been generated by the winter works. The Fire Service have been notified that this will be occurring. It is envisaged that it will take one day and the area will be doused with water afterwards, the contractor will visit the site morning and evening over the following days to check that there is no re-ignition.

Any reported fires outside of this timeframe and location should be reported to the Fire Service.

Please contact me if you have any further questions and please also feel free to forward this email to any relevant people that I may have missed off.

Thanks

Nick
